Centering Prayer is a method of silent prayer that prepares us to receive the gift of contemplative prayer - prayer in which we experience God's presence within us. This class will teach this method of prayer and allow space for practicing it in a welcoming, peaceful setting.

Shusaku Endo's 1966 novel Silence tells the story of 17th century Christian missionaries in Japan. This masterpiece explores religious persecution and torture and engages some of the deepest questions of faith and doubt. This class will include discussions of both the novel and the movie.

BELIEVE Bible Study

Grounded in Scripture, BELIEVE is a spiritual growth experience that helps Christians think, act and be more like Jesus.  This study unlocks the 10 key beliefs, 10 key practices, and 10 key virtues that help people live the story of the Bible.

This Bible Study, led by Janice Thomas, will help its members develop a personal vision for spiritual growth and a simple plan for getting started on the BELIEVE journey.

Classes meets on Tuesdays, from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm in CSR through the end of May 2018.
